What is PowerShell Saturday?
PowerShell Saturday is a day-long conference focused on all things PowerShell. Whether you are an experienced professional or a newcomer, our event promises a day filled with learning, networking, and motivation. Our roster of speakers comprises community members like you and well-known experts in the industry who will share their valuable insights with our audience. If you’re passionate about PowerShell, then this is the event for you!
What sets PowerShell Saturday apart from other events?
Our conference is different because it’s all about the community. Unlike other events driven by companies trying to sell you stuff, local folks just like you organize and run this event. Our speakers are also community members working in and around the Raleigh/Durham area. When you come to PowerShell Saturday, you get to meet and chat with real people from Raleigh and nearby areas. Plus, you’ll hear from speakers sharing practical solutions they’ve used in their own work environments.
At PowerShell Saturday, we intentionally keep sessions small. We limit our sessions to a maximum of 40 participants per session to encourage a close-knit and interactive learning atmosphere. Our sessions are hands on, aiming to provide practical solutions that you can implement in your corporate network. We skip the unnecessary details. Rather than sitting through dull slide presentations, participants engage in sessions featuring live coding demos and real-world examples. Attendees are welcome to ask questions and even challenge the solutions presented by our speakers.
What kind of content can attendees expect to be covered at PowerShell Saturday?
Our goal is to deliver top-quality content to attendees, minimizing any commercial influence. Our speakers are just like you. They are community members and industry leaders who will share how they use PowerShell to solve complex problems and make their daily jobs easier through automation.
At PowerShell Saturday, attendees can expect a diverse range of topics that cater to various interests and levels of expertise in PowerShell. The sessions will include topics like automating routine tasks, using PowerShell to manage Active Directory, scripting for cloud environments, troubleshooting common IT problems with PowerShell, best practices for cybersecurity, using PowerShell for DevOps, deploying applications through code, PowerShell coding tips and tricks, and improving system performance through scripting. As the event approaches, we will have the speakers and topics listed and roster of speakers, allowing you to see the specific content we have in store for you. Our discussions will focus on the real-life situations and practical examples you encounter in your daily work.
What does my ticket purchase include?
Your PowerShell Saturday ticket gets you in for the whole day and includes access for up to 15 sessions, plus a light breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks. We’ve got some cool swag for you to take home as a souvenir of the event. We’ll have a couple of vendors on site to chat about their products, but don’t worry, they won’t be pushing sales on you. These vendors help us keep costs down, and we choose ones with stuff that can actually be useful to you. And hey, they’ll also have some outstanding prizes up for grabs in their raffles!
Where is the event being held?
Our event will take place at the corporate headquarters of Align Technology, the innovators behind Invisalign braces. The venue is conveniently situated just a 10-minute drive from Raleigh Durham International Airport, with hotels within a 3-mile radius of the event location.
Align Technology is at 3030 Slater Rd, Morrisville, NC, around 10 miles away from downtown Raleigh. The Raleigh area is lively, renowned for its bustling IT and tech industry, as well as a diverse array of excellent restaurants, museums, cultural events, and home to approximately 13 local breweries in and around the downtown Raleigh vicinity.
